[3 November, 2026] — ProjectorCentral, one of the ProAV industry's leading independent projector resources, has published a hands-on review of the Appotronics AL-SK15KAS, a 15,000-lumen large-venue laser projector in our S Smart Series.
Built around our ALPD® 5.0 RGBX® light path — banks of red, blue and green lasers, as well as a phosphor wheel — the AL-SK15KAS pairs DLP chip to reach 3,840 × 2,400 resolution.
Key findings from the review:
Measured brightness above spec — in ISO 21118 testing on a zero-gain white screen, ProjectorCentral measured 15,568 lumens in Standard mode, four percent above the 15,000-lumen rating. Graphic mode measured 15,180 lumens; Cinema 12,029 lumens and Dicom Sim 12,078 lumens.
Color control — 110% of Rec.709 in Standard mode, with individual adjustment for seven colors. The reviewer highlighted the absence of a high-brightness mode which is competitor often use to reach lumen spec but trades color balance for lumen figures.
Nine lenses, motorized — spanning 0.36:1 ultra short throw to 3.8–6.8:1 long throw, all with motorized focus and easy to install by using projector’s locking leg.
Low Latency mode — input lag drops from 72ms to 33ms, suited to gaming and simulation.

The review notes that its 15,000-plus lumen brightness "hits the sweet spot for school lecture halls, large conference rooms, digital museum exhibits, and small houses of worship without requiring a dedicated 220-volt electric line."
