June 2025, a landmark digital multimedia exhibition – co-presented by the Shanghai International Culture Association, Power Station of Art (Shanghai), and Goldsmiths, University of London, with support from Shanghai Media Group – opened its doors.
Ten artists active between Shanghai and London, jointly curated by a Sino-British team, presented 22 works spanning moving image, sculpture, installation, photography, painting, and performance.

The Challenges
The exhibition needs a solution that could delivers high-quality scenic projection, making complex layers visible and immersive. the technology had to vanish completely into the background while making every breath of the artwork fully perceptible. Given the artistic and technical standards image quality, brightness, color accuracy, and reliability were non-negotiable.

The Breakthrough
Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the curators, Appotronics’ M Series were selected, powered by ALPD® semiconductor laser technology, as the visual backbone of the exhibition. This configuration provided the exhibition with unmatched flexibility for diverse creative requirements.

The Results
Technology stepped back and let the art speak at full volume. The rationality of pixels met the poetry of human expression — and they understood each other perfectly.
